Original art is an authentic work of art that is made by an artist and is not a reproduction, copy or imitation of the work.  Original art may take several forms such as paintings, sculptures and drawings.  

No, UnikArt does not sell prints or digital copies of a piece of art.

We only sell genuine, authentic and original works of art created by an artist. 

Yes, all art available to purchase or sold by UnikArt come with a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) issued by the gallery on behalf of the artist for each piece.

In some cases, additional paperwork or certificates may accompany the artwork as supplied by the artist.

Due to the nature of original works of art and the variety of materials, medium, or techniques used by artists, UnikArt is not in a position to offer any warranty on art sold or available to purchase.

The care required for original works of art varies, however some basic tips would be: 

  1. Keep your art, especially paintings away from direct sunlight
  2. Avoid the use of chemicals or detergents while cleaning the piece

While we try to ensure information regarding the art available on our website is accurate, it is subject to variations and information submitted by the artist. 

Please note: 

  1. Interpretation of art is subjective and may vary between viewers or artists.
  2. Images on the website or social media channels are non-contractual.
  3. Variations may occur due to lighting conditions, artwork’s surface, and photography equipment.
  4. Artwork sizes usually have an accuracy of ± 5% of stated sizes. 

Yes, you may be able to sell your art online through our website if you’re an artist in Mauritius.

DELIVERY & PAYMENTS

Yes, UnikArt offers a free delivery service throughout Mauritius. Delivery is usually carried out within 3 to 5 working days of order confirmation.

Free delivery may not be available for artworks or items that are large, bulky, or heavy and delivery fees for any such products will vary.

No, unfortunately UnikArt does not currently deliver art outside of Mauritius. 

However, if you are from abroad and wish to purchase an artwork from us, you may contact us with your request. Our team will as much as possible try to assist with your request.

 

If you opt to collect your order, an e-mail will be sent to you to confirm that your art is ready for collection. 

Orders may be collected in Ebène or Quatre Bornes

Yes you may be able to view the art before buying it. Viewings are on appointment only. Get in touch for more information.

Returns may be considered.  Please contact us within a period of 5 working days from the date of delivery or collection.  

Items or orders must be returned to us within a period of 5 working days if return is accepted by UnikArt.  

All returned items must be in original condition with all accompanying documents. 

A voucher will be issued once UnikArt has received the order or items as described above.  

The voucher will be redeemable only on UnikArt’s website towards the purchase of any other artwork available for sale.  

Currently UnikArt only accepts payment in cash upon collection or via bank transfer. 

Other forms of payment will be added soon.
