Original art is an authentic work of art that is made by an artist and is not a reproduction, copy or imitation of the work. Original art may take several forms such as paintings, sculptures and drawings.
No. UnikArt does not sell prints (reproductions/copies) of a piece of art.
We only sell authentic, unique and original works of art. Occasionally we may sell signed photographs or digital art in limited editions or runs.
All artwork sold by UnikArt is accompanied by a Certificate Of Authenticity (COA) signed by the artist.
The COA is only valid when signed by the corresponding artist and bearing the official seal of UnikArt.
All our COA’s information or references are stored in our database for any future queries or in cases where an artwork is being sold and needs to be transferred to a new owner.
Due to the nature of original works of art in terms of materials, medium and techniques used, UnikArt is not in a position to offer any warranty on the art sold.
The care required towards a particular piece of art will vary.
Some basic tips would be to keep your art away from direct sunlight and to avoid using any chemicals in cleaning the piece.
We strive to provide our customers with the most accurate information possible regarding the art we sell. However, descriptions are subject to the the artist’s own interpretation which is beyond our control.
Please note:
– Images on the website or social media channels used are non-contractual.
– Variations may occur due to lighting conditions, nature of artwork surface or photography equipment.
– Sizes usually have an accuracy within ± 5% of stated sizes.
Payment
At present UnikArt only accepts payment through bank transfer, MCB Juice or cash upon collection.
Please note: We do not accept Cash On Delivery at present.
We currently do not offer payment by credit or debit card. However we may offer this service in the future.
Delivery, Collection & Returns
UnikArt offers free island-wide delivery for orders over Rs 2000. For orders under Rs 2000, a standard island-wide delivery fee of Rs200 is applied to your order. These rates may not always apply to items that are fragile or bulky.
Delivery is applicable to addresses in Mauritius only and take up to 5 working days from order confirmation.
UnikArt | Mauritius currently does not offer international delivery. However, interested parties who wish to purchase our art are requested to contact us to discuss the possibilities of doing so from abroad.
If you have opted to pick up your order, an e-mail will be sent to you confirming when your order is ready for collection.
Orders may be collected from Ebène or Quatre Bornes.
Some of our art can be viewed upon request. Visits are on appointment only and can be requested through our contact form.
Returns may be considered. Please contact us within a period of 5 working days from the date of delivery or collection.
Items or orders must be returned to us within a period of 5 working days if return is accepted by UnikArt.
All returned items must be in original condition with all accompanying documents.
A voucher will be issued once UnikArt has received the order or items as described above.
The voucher will be redeemable only on UnikArt’s website towards the purchase of any other artwork available for sale.
