Description

“Coin Bleu De Mire” is an acrylic painting of the island of Coin De Mire, also commonly known as Gunner’s Quoin, in the North of the island of Mauritius. The painting is the work of Mauritian artist, Damien Pavaday, who took a trip nearby the island to get inspired.

The artwork depicts the majestic island of Gunner’s Quoin in deep blue with its reflection onto the lagoon.  The sky is light blue and the clouds are accentuated in shades of gold.  The painting also comprises of a few sailboats and Paille En Queue birds.

Overall, this work of art is an interpretation of Gunner’s Quoin as a heavenly, calm and peaceful place.  It is a contemporary painting of Mauritius which would suit a living room, office or bedroom.
