“Wilderness” by Mauritian artist Anu is an acrylic on canvas painting of a running horse and represents freedom, endurance, and strength.  The concept of freedom is further accentuated by the horse’s free-flowing mane & tail as the animal is running across a field lined with wildflowers & grass.

This expressionist horse painting was initially meant to showcase a horse grazing on grass but was depicted as a running horse to express the feelings of the artist.

The canvas will suit horse lovers but will also uplift and bring positivity to any space, especially work and living areas.

In The Words Of The Artist 

Wilderness was painted during a time when my life had become a routine of office & home, and I was
starting to feel trapped. The horse was at the beginning one that was grazing the grass calmly but I later
changed it to one that was running freely in nature to better represent the liberty I wanted to feel.
Horses are supposed to represent freedom, confidence, courage, and endurance.
